Work and Play - Miami Society Women Style

Maria Elena Uzcategui and Susanne Birbragher hosted an afternoon of shopping, martinis and fun among girlfriends Tuesday at the ultra-lux condo building Bath CLUB, 5959 Collins Ave. Inside Maria Elena’s beyond gorgeous apartment, friends like Amy Segal, Claudia Taylor Brod, Jillian Jacobson and Johanna Abraham mingled and shopped the collections of these four talented and local power-women.

Maria Elena, Uzca jewels designer, known for creating unique and uncommon natural materials with precious and semi precious stones divides her time between Miami and Florence, Italy. Her rich minimalist style with textured metals and snake motifs is totally tantalizing. Maria Elena showcased Uzca jewels along with her newest design venture, python handbags. From a gorgeous purpley blue shoulder bag to a classic stonewash snakeskin clutch, the bags are really beautiful and nicely made.

Susanne Birbragher is not only the CEO and publisher of ArtNexus Miami, she also represents Rinkel, a Colombian exotic leather bags and accessories brand. These jewel tone crocodile skin bags can be completely color customized from the outer skin to the suede interior. FYI, Rinkel is registered with CITES, designating 5% of its annual sale earnings for the preservation of the species and its ecosystem in Columbia.

Alison Zhuk brought some favorite pieces and fabric samples from her Petite Chic boutique. Her products are personalized gifts for any age or occasion and range from monogrammed custom bags, baby essentials, customized stationary to fashion accessories. SocialMiami’s Michele Sadkin special ordered a pair of monogrammed, metallic gold driving shoes, jeuj.

Anick Vorbe is a Miami based fashion designer who created a collection of handmade, one of a kind caftans and tunics. Using exclusively chiffon or silk fabrics, the pieces are intended to give women a smart, elegant option that is timeless. The flowy pieces brought to BathClub were each unique, including a few vintage Pucci prints, and can offer serious versatility to any Miami wardrobe.

My Clutch? Its crocodile.

This Rinkel clutch has a chain link, croc-skin strap that can be worn over a shoulder, tucked inside or as Susanne Birbragher suggests – as a belt.

A versatile piece like this works year round in Miami. Wear with espadrilles to drinks in summer, with liquid leggings during fall, with white skinny jeans to brunch in spring and of course, anytime over your favorite swim suit.
